I tried to capture the pure joy on the faces of these young people and these athetes. I don't want to alarm anyone by seeing military police with automatic weapons, but the Minister of Security arrured Global Football there would be NO safety issues for either team nor the kids. This included a police escort to and from practice today and Friday.

Day 5 (Thursday) Arusha Youth Football Clinics
At 11 AM practice for both teams concludes and bus loads of school children start to arrive at the practice facility. The children were dressed in their colorful school uniforms and were looking forward to learning what this brand new sport of football is. 500 - 600 children today and expect the same numbers tomorrow. If any of these children come to the game on Saturday they will be presented with a full size football. There were also alot of reporters that were on site to listen to each head coach, Bill LeMonnier, Head Referee and Global Football President Patrick Steensberge. They even caught the other officals to find out why we wanted to be here. The biggest question I received (at least a dozen times) "Why do they call this sport Football, if it's not totally played with your feet, like soccer is.
