Day 9 (Monday) Long Ride Home - The Kili Bowl is History

Wow, what an exciting and incredible 9 days of my life!  It was mind expanding, stimulating, awesome, incredible, wonderful,  were a few of the words we all repeated many time on our LONG plane ride home that started Sunday night and bringing us to Bellefonte, PA a little after 6 PM Monday evening.  At moments it seemed we were gone a mere 8 days and at other times it seemed as though we entered another world of sights, sounds, smells that could never be duplicated back here in the States.

The ride home was not without its share of excitement from going through customs leaving Tanzania having a ring "disappear" only to be "found" by a customs supervisor as we were loading a plane.  Or leaving a laptop on the plane as we arrived in Amsterdam only to realize it an hour into our layover and realizing that Lost and Found was in about 9 different places in that airport.  After retrieving the laptop, drinking a Heineken before 9 AM never felt so good!

Amsterdam was the time Bill and Mario took a separate flight to Chicago and Chris, Jeff and Mark left for Newark Airport.  Thirteen hours of flights and losing 7 hours of time made the return trip
almost unbearable.

The upside was that once we made it through US Customs we had a 4 hour limo ride home.  This meant we didn't have to drive, deal with traffic, could unwind, have an adult beverage or two.  By the time we arrived home, it was already 1 AM Arusha time!

We had an awesome time, appreciate your comments and prayers that allowed us to arrive home in one piece, safe and sound.
